Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") establishes the standards of conduct expected from all users of the Assetlo platform and services. This policy is designed to protect the integrity, security, and availability of the Assetlo platform while ensuring a professional environment for all customers. Violation of this policy may result in suspension or termination of your account.

2. Permitted Use

You may use the Assetlo platform for:

  • Managing your organization's legitimate digital assets and infrastructure
  • Tracking software licenses, subscriptions, and renewals for your business
  • Collaborating with authorized team members within your organization
  • Generating reports and analytics related to your digital portfolio
  • Integrating with authorized third-party tools and services
  • Any lawful business purpose consistent with the platform's intended functionality

3. Prohibited Activities

3.1 Security Violations

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any system, account, or data
  • Conducting penetration testing or security assessments without prior written authorization
  • Introducing malware, viruses, trojans, ransomware, or other malicious code
  • Using the platform to conduct phishing attacks or social engineering campaigns
  • Attempting to intercept or monitor communications not intended for you
  • Bypassing, disabling, or circumventing security controls

3.2 Platform Abuse

  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the platform
  • Scraping, crawling, or harvesting data through automated means
  • Using the platform to generate excessive load that impacts other users
  • Exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities for unauthorized purposes
  • Accessing APIs beyond your authorized rate limits
  • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent platform limits or restrictions

3.3 Legal Violations

  • Using the platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws
  • Storing or transmitting data that infringes intellectual property rights
  • Violating export control laws or regulations
  • Engaging in fraud, deception, or misrepresentation
  • Using the platform to facilitate money laundering or other financial crimes

3.4 Content Violations

  • Uploading or transmitting content that is illegal, harmful, or offensive
  • Storing sensitive personal data without appropriate authorization and compliance measures
  • Using the platform to harass, abuse, or discriminate against any individual or group

4. Data Responsibility

You are responsible for all data you enter into the Assetlo platform. You warrant that you have the legal right to use, process, and store any data you input into the platform, including any third-party data. You must ensure your use of the platform complies with all applicable data protection laws including GDPR, CCPA, and any other relevant regulations.

5. Security Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining strong, unique passwords for all accounts
  • Enabling multi-factor authentication where available
  • Promptly reporting any security vulnerabilities or incidents to our security team
  • Ensuring only authorized personnel have access to your Assetlo account
  • Revoking access promptly when team members leave your organization

6. Enforcement and Consequences

Violations of this AUP may result in:

  • Warning notification from Assetlo
  • Temporary suspension of account access
  • Permanent termination of your account without refund
  • Legal action where violations constitute criminal activity
  • Reporting to relevant law enforcement authorities

7. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it immediately to support@assetlo.io. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. We may need to contact you for additional information during our investigation.

8. Updates to This Policy

Assetlo reserves the right to update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated to account holders via email with at least 14 days advance notice. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
